A lot of people coming from all around the world love hot things. Hot news, hot man or woman, hot gossips and even this hot taste that sometime would make you cry or having a stomache after enjoying the hotness sensation inside your mouth. People love the taste of spicy dishes. Some, may even have some hard times in eating the original cooked dishes ( without ketchup or chilli sauce ). They would say that when they eat without any spicy taste, no matter who cooked that dish, that particular dish would always tasted plain and not so yummy. Some may bought a bunch of pepper and chilli just for one meal-eat. People ignored the fact that, when you eat spicy foods, actually you are torturing your own one and only tounge. The hotness from pepper and chilli caused some of your papilla that rest silently on your tounge being damaged. And actually, these papilla are the one that has the role for sensing the taste of our meal. As a prove, people would always say that after some period of time, the same amount of chilli or pepper that they use as for flavoring their meal is too little. They are like can’t feel the hot taste that they are looking for . Because of this, they are being attracted to try adding more and more amount of chilly or pepper on their plate. This is why, some snacks may also written different levels of hotness on their cover. People would really love to try the hottest level of that snack. Now, if you are one of those people who are crazy about this taste, let’s try to travel around India.

Spicy Dishes Lovers? Try this Jolokia

Bhut Jolokia

When we travel around India in 2007, we may need to visit a tribe called the Bhutia. This particular tribe in India can be found around the area of Assam Valleys. There is something that caused this tribe being so different than the other tribes. And, some people may think that this tribe is the most popular tribe among the other tribes in India. Why is that? Is it because of their culture? Is it because of how they dress or how they build their houses as to adapt their surroundings? The answer is simply no, since if we think about those questions again, every different kind of tribes that you can find around the world, would have some unique cultures and dresses. And some think that most of traditional building are similar to each other. Thus, the answer of what makes this tribe being so well known an so different from the other tribes in India is that, this tribe, has the number one hottest chilli all around the world. Guinness World Records has recorded that this tribe’s chilli, which is called as Bhut Jolokia ( or sometimes people called it as Naga Jolokia or Ghost Chilli Pepper ). For a quick information, the hotness of pepper and chilli is being measured using what we called as “Scoville Scale”. It is stated that this Bhut Jolokia’s hotness reached 1,041,427  Scoville Scale. If you are so confused about the measurement of this hotness, or maybe too curious of how hot it is, maybe you should try to prepare a bottle of of tobasco that you can buy in the nearby supermarket. Then, try the spicy taste of that tobasco. After trying the hotness of tobasco, try to imagine the hotness that is 401,5 times a lot hotter than what you just tried. That is, the hotness of Tobasco.

In 2013, sadly Bhut Jolokia is not the hottest chilli anymore. A hybrid chilli ( meaning from crossing ), has taken the first place. But if you still want to taste the original chilli that really grow that hot as it’s own nature ( not from crossing ), you can still take Bhut Jolokia as your number one hottest chilli. Bhut jolokia has some fun facts as being 400 times hotter than tobasco. Some interesting facts are the fact that Indian government made some grenades originally from this chilli to fight terrorist ( this is being done not for some silly jokes, but for some public security as to not harm others that are in nearby area or the terrorist’s spot ). Some local farmer even use it as to protect their farmland from the “invasion” coming from the elephants living around their farmland. The last intimidating fun fact is that, a woman named Anadita Dotatamulgu was succesful in eating 60 India’s Jolokia in just two minutes! As for those who love Korean boys, specially Super Junior, luckily they had their experiment on eating this Bhut Jolokia. Their experiment is being done in a show called “The Exploration of Human Body”, where you can also watch how they reacted in eating this pepper. Funnily, they only bite them for 5 times only and they have got “extremely tortured” by the pepper.

So what is a very special dish in India that we can perfectly enjoy with Bhut Jolokia as it’s main ingredient? The answer is Bhut Jolokia Curries and Chutneys. The most popular curry is the Chicken Curry in Bhut Jolokia, which is, very hot that maybe you can hardly tell wether the chiken is being perfectly cooked, or just half-cooked. Before yoou eat this dish, warn yourself that you may need some paper tissue for some tears, and a great stomache as a result of eating this devil. And please keep this dish away from your kids, since it may give them a very worse nightmare ever.
