Chevrolet Equinox is a very popular SUV in North America, It is
in fact one of the best selling crossover SUVs in the US. Since
the model’s second generation launch in 2010, it has sold over
a million units in the US and Canada. The Equinox is also very
impressive in European markets.
To maintain the good performance in the market, Chevy is
planning to launch a new model of the Equinox for the 2017
model year. Most of the information about the upcoming Chevy is
still being kept as a secret but from the little information we
have received, we have managed to prepare the following;
2017 Chevrolet Equinox Exterior
The 2017 Chevrolet Equinox comes more elegant and stylish than
its predecessor. The vehicle is offered in LS, L, LTZ and
LT trims. At the front, Chevrolet designers have hooked up the
vehicle with an aggressive look.
The front features a double-port grille with has a brighter
look which add to its aggressiveness. Flanking the grille are
frame-rate-explicit conventional light-beam projectors on the
LS and L trims. The LT and LTZ trim levels will add LED DRLs.
The front is also equipped with stylish fog lights.
Switching to the rear, the vehicle features double-elements
tail lamps fitted on the lower frame. All models run on 17-inch
alloy wheels except the LTZ trim which features 18-inch alloy
wheels. Models equipped with the V-6 engine will feature twin
chromed exhaust pipes.
2017 Chevrolet Equinox Interior
Chevy has also paid more attention on the cabin of the Equinox.
The cabin has been redesigned to offer more interior space. As
such, it offers more leg and head room. The automaker has added
head restraints to the seats. The seats are upholstered in high
quality leather which serves to take the comfort and luxury
feeling of its cabin to a whole new level.
The dashboard is fitted with a 7-inch touch-screen integrated
with MyLink infotainment system. Other features on the
dashboard include; a navigation system, dual-zone air
conditioning and cruise control. The vehicle also features
8-speaker Dolby sound system and connectivity features such as
USB ports, Bluetooth and 4G LTE Wi-Fi.

Under the hood, the Chevy Equinox will feature carried over
drive-trains from the outgoing models. There will be two
different engine options.

produces 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque. In terms of fuel
economy, this engine returns 22 mpg, 31 mpg and 18 mpg for
city, highway and combined drives respectively. Surely
Chevrolet should do more to increase these numbers.

comes good with 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque. This engine is
only available on LT and LTZ trims featuring AWD. The V-6 also
posts a poor fuel economy of 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway and 23
mpg combined on models with FWD and 16 mpg city, 23 mpg highway
